
Fresh news coming in indicates how renowned city lawyer Apollo Nelson Makubuya is set to walk down the aisle with Stanbic Bank’s Chief Executive Officer, Anne Juuko.
Makubuya who is a senior partner at the MMAKS Advocates one of th top Kampala law firms got engaged to Ann last week.
This is according to a story written by CEO Magazine.
The magazine added that the pair got engaged last week in a private ceremony.
They then proceeded to share the joyous news with the public in a short social media message.
“Dear friends, I am pleased to announce that Omumbejja Anne N. Juuko and I were engaged this last Sunday. We plan to get married this year. We thank all of you for your love and support. God bless,” Makubuya wrote.

Juuko who replaced Patrick Mweheire as the CEO of Stanbic Bank in March 2020 is the first woman to lead one of Uganda’s largest banks.
She had previously worked in different roles with the Bank as well as its mother company, Standard Bank.
Ann also worked with Citibank in Uganda and Kenya.

Makubuya on the other hand is one of the proprietors of MMAKS and he belongs to the Corporate Advisory team.
Besides he’s also an expert in corporate mergers and acquisitions, energy, mining and natural resources; arbitration, tax and revenue law and constitutional law.
His first wife, Stella Nansikombi Makubuya sadly passed away in September 2018.
